Backpack Through Europe

Living and Working Anywhere in the World you Want

If you're getting ready to hit the trails across the continent of Europe, it's best to get your ducks in a row and do your planning ahead of time. A quick list of items that should be part and parcel to an enjoyable, safe and secure backpacking experience include, at minimum, a good backpack, weather appropriate clothing, flip-flops and a towel (protect you from unhygienic hostels), toiletries, electrical converter kits (to adapt your electrical gear to varying voltages as you travel from country to country), digital camera (obvious sightseeing purposes), travel alarm, sleep sack, and of course passport and other identifier paperwork to get into each country.

Next, you want to ensure your list of events and activities is prepared, so you can enjoy the trip and put all your backpacking Europe gear to its best use. Are you going to be on the alpine walkways of Switzerland, hiking through the back forest, taking boat trips around the Horn of France and Spain? Where you be staying at hostels only, or move up to a bed and breakfast? Are you going alone, for bringing your lover or even a baby along for the ride? What about supplies for the extra people, if they are part of this vacation? Sketching out these details ahead of time will make the trip more useful and satisfying.

Your most important checklist, though, is the psychic list -- what's important to fulfill you as a person. Is the Europe backpacking trip a lifelong dream? Was the trip meant as a solo excursion, or is the family slated to be on the walking trails? Are their friends and relatives at certain points across the comment will give you shelter, whom you actually want to see? Is all the gear present that you need for satisfy your desires for the trip, for example, climbing the Swiss Alps? Planning ahead to complete these lists of physical gear needed, and activity scheduled all help make the trip ultimately happen.
